The Township operates 7 parks and the Arrowhead Trail. Pittsburgh Foodies will love the abundance of diverse, local restaurants. Golf is the most popular recreational sport and there are plenty of local courses available nearby, including VALLEY BROOK COUNTRY CLUB, etc.
Although families may find much of their time in the various athletics and clubs accessible to students, the close proximity of shopping is invaluable to families "on-the-go". Heisler's, and Giant Eagle are regular stops for local groceries, and there are plenty of specialty shops along Route 19, south towards Tangier Outlets.
Work travel is undeniably easy due to the multiple access points to I-79, and surrounding communities. Once you move to Peters Township, you'll never live anywhere else!

Peters Township boasts 5 public schools, a newly constructed High School, a renovated Middle School, & 3 Elementary Schools. According to the Peters Township School District website, the district "welcomes more than 4,300 students" into their classrooms each day!
Many lifelong residents of the South Hills of Pittsburgh recognize the school district for their academic achievements, both regionally and state-wide, the district recognizes that there is FAR MORE to finding success in life, and it goes well beyond statistics and awards.
On top of the award-winning academics, Peters Township High School has regularly competed, and won regionally, in Girls Golf, Football, Boys Golf, Field Hockey, Girls Tennis, Boys & Girls' Soccer, Boy's Basketball, Boy's/Girl's Cross Country, & wrestling in the 2020-2021 Season. WOW!
